Are you looking for experienced counsellors in Cranbrook BC? We are pleased to share that Counsellors Dean Nicholson and Maureen Smith are available on Thursday and Friday at Cranbrook Acupuncture Clinic for private counselling – for individuals or couples. 

Together, they operate Alive Mindfully, with services including individual and couples counselling, group meditation retreats and online courses. Their areas of expertise include depression and anxiety, grief and loss, trauma and PTSD, stress management, self-esteem, substance use disorders, and healthcare worker compassion fatigue. 

Dean Nicholson

Dean’s areas of expertise include child and adult trauma and PTSD, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, and addictions. Dean’s practice is holistic and client centered, integrating a variety of cognitive-behavioural, emotion and body-focused therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Maureen Smith

Maureen is a holistic Counsellor who helps clients with anxiety/depression, compassion fatigue, how to find meaning and purpose, relationships and spiritual questioning.  She is also certified as an Imago Relationship Therapist which provides a uniquely nonjudgmental, compassionate approach to help you reinvigorate your relationships and transform conflict.
